How to add a booking confirmation to a trip
Screenshot the confirmation or paste the email. Arriv reads the dates and times and puts the flight, stay, or dinner on a shared itinerary. Booking capture is Pro. Place-name screenshots stay on the free monthly allowance. Arriv does not sell tickets. After you buy, drop the confirmation; the times become the skeleton of the days.
Drop the confirmation you already have
The confirmation is in your inbox or your photos: a boarding pass, a hotel voucher, an OpenTable email. Screenshot it or paste the text. Arriv reads the dates and times and shows a preview before anything saves. The flight organizer is also a hotel planner: drop the confirmation, and the times go on the trip.
A place-name screenshot is a different job. A friend's text with three restaurants becomes pins. That path is screenshot to map, and it sits on the free monthly allowance. A booking confirmation carries a date, a time, and often a flight number or a room night. Those go on the itinerary as the skeleton of the day, the same way planning by day starts with the reservation that already has an hour on it.
What lands on the trip
One drop can be a flight, a stay, or a timed dinner. United BOS to LIS on Friday sets the trip dates. An Alfama hotel for those nights pins the stay. Prado at 9pm Friday sits on Friday evening. Flights, hotels, and dinners share one drop. Arriv tells them apart.
Arriv does not search fares or sell tickets. Buy the flight where you already buy it. Cheapest time to book is the research page: domestic six to eight weeks out, international two to five months. After you buy, drop the confirmation. The itinerary then has the times.
A dinner confirmation is the same drop as a boarding pass. The difference is what it anchors: a flight sets arrival and departure, a stay sets the nights, a reservation sets an hour on one day. Flexible stops fill in around those pins.
A Lisbon weekend, filed
Friday: UA 260 lands in Lisbon. The hotel in Alfama is the first night. Prado at 9pm is dinner, in the same neighborhood, which is the geography-first rule with a real booking on it. Saturday and Sunday stay a list until you add more places. The flight and the dinner are already on the days they belong to.
Lisbon weekends stall when the 9pm table is in a note and the arrival is in an email and nobody has both. Filing the confirmations first puts the landing time on the shared itinerary. A Lisbon couples weekend is a shape for the flexible stops. The bookings are the spine those stops attach to.
Free screenshots and Pro bookings
Guest and free accounts can drop screenshots of place names within a monthly allowance. Booking confirmations — flights, stays, timed dinners — are Pro. The preview still runs. On a free account you will hit a limit, and Pro is how you continue. That split is the same one screenshot to map already states.
There is no inbox ingest and no Gmail forward. The working path is a screenshot of the confirmation or a paste of the email body on the flight organizer. Capture accepts images and pasted text.
After you buy, the research is done. When to book the flight does not keep the times. The confirmation does. Drop it, check the preview, and the dates and the 9pm table are on the shared itinerary.
Worked weekend: UA 260 BOS to LIS on Friday, an Alfama stay for those nights, Prado at 9pm. Drop each confirmation. The trip dates, the hotel pin, and Friday dinner appear on one itinerary. Lisbon flexible stops — a miradouro, Pastéis de Belém — wait until the bookings are the spine. Place-name screenshots of restaurants you have not booked stay on the free path.
