Weekend Trip Planner

Plan a weekend that fits.

Two and a half days is the real budget, whatever the calendar says. Arriv builds to it: one anchor a day, food near where you already are, and Sunday left loose enough to catch a flight.

What you get back

Charleston, Friday night to Sunday afternoon

A weekend paced to keep Sunday from being a scramble, with each block sitting near the one before it:

  • Friday — dinner on Upper King Land, drop bags, walk to a reservation
  • Saturday morning — Rainbow Row and the Battery One loop, before the heat
  • Saturday afternoon — Sullivan's Island 25 minutes out, back by six
  • Saturday night — Broad Street The one dinner worth booking weeks ahead
  • Sunday — brunch and out Something near the airport road

How it works

Three steps, start to map

1

Name the city and the window

Friday night to Sunday, or a three-day weekend. The pace changes with the hours you have, since two nights and three are different trips.

2

Get one anchor a day

A weekend holds about one big thing per day, and Arriv picks those first before putting the meals around them.

3

Adjust for your flights

Enter when you land and when you leave, and the first and last blocks shrink to the hours you have left.

Why Arriv

Paced for a short trip

It plans for the hours you have

A Friday 9pm arrival gets a different Saturday than a Thursday night one.

Walkable clusters

Each day stays in one part of town, which is what makes two days feel like three.

Room to do nothing

The gaps are deliberate. A weekend scheduled to the minute stops being a break.

Shareable before you go

Send the link and whoever's coming knows the dinner reservation without asking twice.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do you plan a weekend trip?
Pick one anchor per day and build the food and the walking around it. Arriv takes the city and your arrival and departure times, then paces Friday evening through Sunday so the last day still has room for the trip home.
Is two days enough for a city trip?
For a compact city like Charleston, Savannah, or Porto, two full days covers it. Bigger cities work as a weekend if you commit to two neighborhoods and leave the rest for next time.
Can it work around my flight times?
Yes. Enter when you land and when you leave, and the first and last day compress to what's left.
Where should I go for a weekend?
Arriv's destination pages list a typical trip length for each city, so you can filter for the ones that work in two or three days. A week-long destination squeezed into a weekend is mostly airport.
